more provinces can be good from administrative point of view. But the political situation doesn’t allow it. Plus with the nationlist sentiment in the provinces which have beeen used by enemies of Pak, would more provincial autonomy and smaller provinces won’t facilitate seperation movements? I mean what is the guarantee that these provinces then would still wants to be part of Pakistan? I do see small changes though. A siraiki sooba and FATA sooba. that will make it 6 provinces and still keep things under control.
like u said, the provinicial autonomy has to come in for it to work. Which brings me back to same question, we talk abt provincial autonomy but if its implemented then what is the guarantee tom these same province dun want to leave Pak. The idea of provincial autonomy has its merit but guarantees should be placed in to ensure that no one sided walking away occurs and all provinces stays within Pakistan.
