Zardari reminds me of H.C. Andersen’s fairy tale “The Emperor’s New Clothes”
Let the children of Pakistan tell the emperor that he is naked.
This one is hard for lot of intellectuals, on one hand SC should have stayed out and on other Govt should have respected the SC decision. I guess PML – N played the cards beautifully and both SC and govt fell for it. Its amazing no one asking PML – N and others who voted this finance bill in parliment why they decided to go to SC. Why didn’t JUI and PML – N didn’t vote against the bill in the assembly? Using SC to override parliment is not in anyone’s interest including SC.
Constitution of Pakistan
Article: 77 Tax to be levied by law only
77. Tax to be levied by law only.-No tax shall be levied for the purposes of
the Federation except by or under the authority of Act of 1[Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament)].
U can challenge the ordinance but parliment passed a bill and SC shouldn’t have temporarily suspended it. As long as its not against constitution.
