At least four terrorists were killed and two were arrested while a dead body of an unidentified person was also recovered form the encounter place, sources said.
The miscreants have been overpowered and the situation is under completely control, spokesman ISPR Ather Abbas confirmed to Geo news.
According to details suspected militants attacked tightly guarded army headquarters on Saturday, as they were in a white Suzuki vehicle and were intercepted at army checkpost no 1, they opened fire and threw five grenades at a main gate, security officials and media said.
“They wore army uniforms and tried to enter the headquarters area but when they were stopped they opened fire and hurled hand grenades,” a security official told media.
Four terrorists were killed and two were arrested during one-hour long encounter, army sources said.
The suspected militants had driven up to the gate in a white Suzuki van that was carrying explosives, the official said.
Media sources said firing was still going on with the two or three gunmen for forty minutes after the attack was launched. Three blasts had been heard, they said.
Soldiers sealed off roads leading to the headquarters and ahelicopter was hovering over the area.

What does that mean?
What I meant” “Noble” agenda” is in fact to weaken Pakistan. I have said it before and repeat it. The current pro-US policy will in fact continue to add fuel to the TTP agenda. We have to distinguish between the different groupings. Some of them have genuine concerns while others are playing the Trojan Horses. If we really want to fight the Trojans successfully, then we must distinguish between these two groupings and ensure that the groups with honest intentions are treated like allies. The long term policy must be to disarm all the tribes. We can not have a state within the state!

This is exactly what the foereign powers want:
- Animosity between the people from SWAT and the rest of Pakistan and especially the mercenary forces.
- The Trojan Horses make bomb blasts and other terrorist activities –>Mercenary forces retaliate with heavy weaponry —-> Inncocent (mainly) are killed —> Revenge –> Innocent people are tortured….the ring goes on.
- The Yankees kill and bomb mostly INNOCENT Pakistanis with the concent our mercenary army and the leadership—> Creation of anger—>Revenge—>More recruiting for Trojan Horses…….the ring goes on….

I doubt it will help, but I will give it try anyways.
The Pakistani leadership need to tackle the issue with intelligence and not entirely with brutal force (I know I am asking too much from crooks). We need to reach out to the mainstream people of the area and isolate the extremists. Remember they started their mission with a few hundreds, and now they can be counted in thousands thanks non planned actions i.e. “Mad bull tactics”. That is what happens, when you refuse to think and take dictation from foreigners for $$$$$. What we need is to find home grown solutions to OUR problems/issues!
Why not demand the supply lines of the foreigners in Afghanistan to be CUT IMMEDIATELY? Much of what is let through Pakistan will and has come back to those who fight against the army and those who target civilians.
The MAIN AIM is to get the population on OUR side! DON´T alienate them!!! To be successful you have to listen to some of their genuine concerns!! One of them is to STOP the drone attacks on MOSTLY INNOCENT civilians. LEARN to say NO the the American agenda!!!

If we take these steps we will not please the Trojan Horses, but rather stop the recruitment to these militants! That means they will slowly die!!! So lets for argument sake say we accept all these conditions, then they come up with another set and then another set of demands so we keep accepting them where do we draw the line? As we learned during Swat operation turned out population was against them, surprise surprise, every jirga held in waziristan promises no foreigners and yet they stay in there.

You are dealing with an area which has been BADLY neglected by the authorities since ages, and now you want them to drop their weapons all of sudden? Do you have any knowledge about their way of living? If you had a little clue you would have understood that it demands a long process to disarm them. It CANNOT be done over night. First of all we need trust building, investment in infrastructure, education, trade etc. Once we accomplish these things the disarmament will be a relatively easy task. Here I am speaking about the ordinary population/tribes in the troubled areas.
Regarding the Trojan Horses: They need to be isolated by all means and yes the ultimate goal is to disarm them sooner rather than later and this process also needs time to succeed – not days/weeks but months.

Geo News: Security forces raid GHQ attackers’ residence
ISLAMABAD: Security forces Saturday raided a house in Islamabad, about 5 to 6 kilometers away from GHQ, where the terrorists had been residing before launching the attack at GHQ, sources said.
Security forces have arrested the owner of the house where the terrorists had planned the attack, sources added. The terrorists were believed to have been residing in this house for the last three to four months, sources said.
Security uniforms, shoes, badges, documents, diaries and detonators have been recovered from the house, sources said.
The photos of the killed terrorists provided lead to the security forces, pointing to the residence of terrorists.

Geo News: GHQ operation completed with the arrest of injured terrorists’ top dog
RAWALPINDI: Pak Army commandos, while arresting the wounded top dog of the terrorist attackers, Aqeel alias Dr. Usman winded up its operation at the General Headquarters here, while five more hostages were recovered and two commandos of the Pak Army martyred in the process.
Pak Army spokesman, Major General Athar Abbas told that the commandos have completed the search operation at the security building in GHQ with the arrest of the last holed up terrorist, who in his last ditch effort trying to blow up the explosives that he carried injured himself besides some of the security personnel.
The operation beginning this morning on the whole rescued 25 hostages in the first phase and at the end of the operation five more hostages were recovered, while three hostages and two Pak Army commandos were also martyred. Earlier, SSG commandos had killed four terrorists in successful operation at security building.
The operation for the rescue of hostages taken on Saturday noon was started this morning at 6.00 A.M and SSG commandos with their great expertise successfully completed the operation in merely one hour and, thereafter, a search operation had started.
D.G. ISPR, Major General Athar Abbas told Geo News that 25 hostages were safely freed, while three hostages were martyred by the terrorists’ firing and four terrorists were killed during the operation. The terrorists had taken hostage of 22 security men in a room, where one suicide bomber was guarding them. The commandos on the intelligence information were tasked to eliminate this suicide bomber in its initial raid in a bid to rescue the hostages safely, which was successfully completed, but in this process three hostages were martyred by terrorists’ firings.
Sources said that the terrorists occupying the building had planted explosives at four places in order to blow it up if anyone tried to enter into the building, but the commandos did enter into the building in blitzing raid with great expertise and took action against the terrorists.

RAWALPINDI: Muhammad Aqeel alias Dr. Usman, heading the gang of terrorists attacking GHQ, is also involved in several heinous incidents, who is now finally caught in the clutches of the heavy hands of law.
Coming from Tehsil Kahota of Rawalpindi, Muhammad Aqeel alias Dr. Usman is the former sepoy of Army Medical Store. He was the mastermind and leader of the gang of terrorists, who had attacked the Sri Lankan cricket team and, thereafter, Aqeel alias Usman along with the accomplices avoiding arrest had fled to Waziristan. Aqeel accused of planning attack on the former President Pervez Musharraf was also wanted in the case.
Lahore police said that Aqeel alias Dr. Usman belonged to Punjabi Tahrik-e-Taliban, which was set up three/four years ago and it had close ties with Baitullah Mehsud. The police had arrested a member of Punjabi Tahrik-e-Taliban, Zubair alias Nek Muhammad involved in June 18 attack on Sri Lankan cricket team, who had made starling disclosures about Aqeel alias Dr. Usman.

SHANGLA: The death toll in Shangla suicide attack at a check-post has increased to 41 including six security men.
Around 45 persons have been injured in the attack and 12 injured said to be in critical condition.
A suicide bomber rammed an explosives laden vehicle with a check post in the incident, reports said.
The troops cordoned off the area after the attack and launched a search operation after clamping an unannounced curfew.
The blast damaged several nearby houses and shops.
